Apple and Google announced recent changes that effectively killed off portable GPS entirely with recent announcements today. Apple with iOs 6 and Google with refreshed and offline maps gaining on to their long running and existing (and good) in-built Android navigation system.
So big are the changes, several GPS manufacturers stocks have dropped dramatically, one down 10% just after the Apple announcement alone.
