Can't reply to YouTube comments today?
You are not alone.
As much as I'm very much in favor of these changes, something very badly miscommunicated is the fact that you can't reply to comments left in the old commenting system using the new system. You need to use your YouTube inbox for that. ( https://www.youtube.com/inbox ) to view them, but you won't be able to reply to old comments. You could make a new comment using "+username" of the username of the one you're replying to. Personally just make sure you uncheck the slightly annoying 'share to Google+' otherwise you'll be spamming big style before you know it.
However all NEW comments you will be able to reply to using the new system, so before you get all internet rage guy, check it out. It works a charm. So moving forward this wont be an issue at all.
Sadly because this has not been clearly stated well at all in my view, internet rage and trolls have taken over other sites and venting their frustration at Google products in droves.
Sigh.
This storm in a teacup will die down shortly but this rage and hate is a problem. Anyway hopefully others find this and clarification is put out and people can begin to keep the cool...
