The Difference between Influencers and Brand Advocates. And why Klout sucketh.

I'ma huge brand advocate for the brands I love, and those that need improvment I am not shy in saying my mind. All to often that love, care and participation I put in, is not often rewarded, as organisations do not clearly have a thought or strategy how to tackle these customers.

So when you examine a little closer a lot of the those buzzing around brands, and realise many may be paid or in their interest to do so (often without disclosure) you can really seperate the wheat from the chaff. That infulencer model is exactly the one that Klout evokes. In short they are your pimp, and you? Well, you do the math.

So good to see this infographic spelling out the difference and clerly telling it like it is, rewarding those, like me, and maybe you, who genuinely love thier brands.
